Ocean to City – An Rás Mór
Saturday 6 June 2020, Cork Harbour, Ireland
Calling all water-lovers and boat aficionados!
Do you want to be part of something really special?
Over the last few years Ocean to City has been breaking all its records, becoming the largest multi-craft race in Ireland. Year on year, the event’s welcoming and high-quality reputation continues to bring more rowers and paddlers to Cork.
Ireland’s premier rowing race, Ocean to City, attracts over 600 participants in more than 200 craft annually – a third of which are international! Now in its 16th year, this all-inclusive rowing event brings together everything from traditional wooden working boats, gigs, skiffs, sloeps, lifeboats, longboats, cutters and currachs, to kayaks, canoes, ocean-going sliding-seat boats and even stand-up paddle boards.
Fancy an epic challenge for 2020?
If so, this is your chance to conquer Ireland’s premier rowing race! Ocean to City has four course distances to choose from, 2nm, 7nm, 12nm and 15nm – all finishing to a warm welcome in Cork’s city centre. More info here.
Next year’s Ocean to City – An Rás Mór takes place on Saturday 6 June 2020 and we would be delighted if you could join us! Note: due to the tides, this is the Saturday after the usual Irish June Bank Holiday Weekend.
Registration opens in February 2020 and special early bird deals, accommodation and ferry offers will be available. We have included our new flyer below and would be grateful if you could forward this to other rowers and paddlers. Our website also has lots of useful information for participating crews. More info here.
If you’d like any further information, please don’t hesitate to contact me or my colleague Deirdre in the Ocean to City office.
We really hope you can join us and look forward to hearing from you.
